I decide to stay away from that pier. It was towards twilight and the evening before there was lots of stirring in the woods. to get there, I would need to trek the area where the noises had been coming from. I was not going to find out what was out there tonight as well. Yes, because I was a chicken...
At the end of the pier is a small shed. A sink for gutting fish, twine and the fishy smells await inside. I decide to take all the photographs from the outside for that reason.
In mid-August, you better keep your eyes sharp for the speedy puffin. Most have migrated. These may have been the last two remaining for the summer. The two hour tour resulted in a three second siting for me, but worth the trip.
