In mid-August, you better keep your eyes sharp for the speedy puffin. Most have migrated. These may have been the last two remaining for the summer. The two hour tour resulted in a three second siting for me, but worth the trip.
Some are looking for love...some couldn't be bothered to look...some have found it.
These birds are basically laughing at us. They know we came here to see the puffins and they know that most of the puffins have retreated for the summer. I heard one say "Good luck dudes, you know they began migrating weeks ago, right?"
